Valve has recently announced that they have been made aware of the recent match fixing allegations. DailyDot article

Due to this, Valve has announced that they have done their own research into the matter, and have confirmed that match fixing had taken place.

Because of this, Valve has said that they no longer want to continue any involvement with these people, and will be speaking to Valve-sponsored event partners to not allow these players to take place in any of these events for the foreseeable future.

The people involved are:

  • Duc “cud” Pham
  • Derek “dboorn” Boorn
  • Casey Foster
  • Sam “Dazed” Marine
  • Braxton “swag” Pierce
  • Keven “AZK” Larivière
  • Joshua “Steel” Nissan

This means that for all foreseeable Major tournaments, including the recently revealed ESL One Katowice 2015 tournament none of these players will be able to play. We are still unsure if this means they will not be able to attend to spectate either.

What do you think about valve’s decision to ban these players from future events? Let us known in the comments.
