With the recent announcement that Gfinity Open will only be eligible to players that are of 18 years of age or older, the younger players in the community were left waiting for another event to come along to be their saviours. Today is the day, it was earlier announced that the formidable LAN hosts over at epicLAN would be adding console Call of Duty: AW to their list of tournaments being hosted.

The event is set to take place on the 16th-19th of July in Kettering at the Kettering Conference Centre. Tickets to play in the Call of Duty tournament will be £60 per person for the whole event, spectator passes will be £10 for the day and £22 for everyday. The tournament will boast a £1250 prize pool for the teams to play for throughout the weekend.

It is only a small event therefore the teams limit is set at only 16 teams however it is a start and every LAN event has to start somewhere. With it being their first time taking Call of Duty under their wing they want to do it right first time. There will be other games being played at the event also such as League of Legends, CS:GO, Starcraft 2 and more. This will be epicLAN’s 15th LAN event so they’re no amateur when it comes to running them and we are sure they won’t let us down with the Call of Duty side of things.

If you’re interested in attending epicLAN make sure you go to their website and check out everything that is on offer at their event: www.epiclan.co.uk
